Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors suffered an embarrassing 144-93 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night at the FedEx Forum. Curry was limited to just two points and didn't make a field goal. The Warriors made a trade for Dennis Schroder but might need to do another to salvage their season.
Golden State was not in this position early in the season, as it dominated the league with a 12-3 start. However, the Warriors have only two wins in their last 11 games. They blew leads in some of those losses and there's a need for a legitimate second scoring option behind Curry.
The Warriors have been linked to several players this season and have the assets to make trades. It might be all about giving Curry one final chance to win his fifth NBA championship.

Let's look at three potential trades for the Golden State Warriors ahead of February's deadlines.
Three moves the Golden State Warriors could make to salvage Steph Curry's extended stay
#1 Make a deal with the Chicago Bulls
Warriors get: Nikola Vucevic
Bulls get: Kevon Looney, Gary Payton II, Lindy Waters III and a 2027 second-round pick from the Atlanta Hawks
The Chicago Bulls are open to trading some of their players, including Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic. The Golden State Warriors have been linked to Vucevic, who has two more years on his deal. He's averaging 20.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game this season.
Vucevic could be the Warriors' first low-post presence in a while, providing offense inside and outside. He's shooting 48.0% from beyond the arc, making at least 2.2 threes per game. The Bulls would free up cap space, given all three players from Golden State are on expiring deals, and the second-round pick would be a sweetener.
#2 Get a couple of Wizards out of their situation
Warriors get: Kyle Kuzma and Jonas Valanciunas
Bulls get: Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton II, Kevon Looney, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 first-round pick
The Washington Wizards are likely going to be sellers at the trade deadline, considering how abysmal they have been this season. They could enter a full rebuild and wait for Cooper Flagg or whoever talent they could get in next year's draft.
Kyle Kuzma would solve the Golden State Warriors' lack of secondary scoring, while Jonas Valanciunas is one of the most solid centers in the NBA. The Wizards would get a young piece in Jonathan Kuminga and cap space due to Gary Payton II and Kevon Looney's expiring deals.
Kyle Anderson would provide guidance and mentorship for a young team, while the first-round pick would just be an additional asset the Wizards need to possibly accept a potential deal.
#3 Go all-in on Jimmy Butler
Warriors get: Jimmy Butler
Bulls get: Jonathan Kuminga, Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, Brandin Podziemski, Lindy Waters III and a 2027 first-round pick
The Miami Heat don't have a lot of leverage, as Jimmy Butler has a player option for next season. Butler could opt out of his contract and become a free agent, leaving the Heat for free.
Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors getting a player like "Jimmy Buckets" would give them the best shot at competing in the playoffs. Butler is a proven postseason performer and could be a good second option behind Steph Curry and has that dog in him to take over in the clutch.
Jonathan Kuminga might blossom under coach Erik Spoelstra, but Andrew Wiggins' contract could be a deal-breaker. He needs to be included to make salaries match, and he's a good player. He might get to a different level under the famed Heat Culture.
Brandin Podziemski and Lindy Waters III could also thrive in Coach Spo's offense and the first-round pick could ensure that Miami says yes.
