The Golden State Warriors visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday in a rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals. The Warriors and Celtics are off to brilliant stats, going 6-1 and 7-1, respectively. Both teams have had an easier route, playing against multiple lottery and injury-riddled teams. Wednesday's matchup against each other is arguably the toughest game for them.
The Warriors are coming off a 125-112 win over the Washington Wizards. Steph Curry returned from a three-game injury absence, tallying 24 points and six assists. Meanwhile, Buddy Hield continued his hot start to the year with 20 points. The new 'splash brothers' must fire on all cylinders again if the Warriors want to upset the Celtics.
On the other hand, Boston beat the Atlanta Hawks 123-93. Jayson Tatum led the team's charge in reigning NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown's absence, tallying 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists on 10 of 21 shots, including 6 of 14 from deep. The Celtics also got handy contributions from Derrick White (21 points) and Payton Pritchard (18 points).
Tatum scored 26 of the 28 points in the opening 24 minutes alone. The Celtics might need another special effort like that as Jaylen Brown continues his time on the sidelines ahead of Wednesday's game.
