Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings preview

The Warriors are coming off of a close win against the Clippers. Golden State was down 90-88 with just seconds left on the clock. However, Lindy Waters III connected on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to give the team a 91-90 win. Steph Curry had nine points in 14 minutes. Waters led the team in scoring with 15 points, while Moses Moody had 12 points.

Even though the Kings ended the Warriors’ journey last season in the play-in tourney, Sacramento didn’t last long either. It lost 105-98 in the next game itself to be eliminated from playoff contention.

The Kings made a huge transaction in the offseason as they added forward DeMar DeRozan. Even though they lost Harrison Barnes, the addition of DeRozan gives Sacramento another clutch finisher alongside De’Aaron Fox.

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings predicted starting lineups

The Warriors continue to be without Andrew Wiggins as he has been ruled out with an undisclosed illness. Golden State coach Steve Kerr should start:

PG: Steph Curry SG: De’Anthony Melton SF: Jonathan Kuminga PF: Draymond Green C: Trayce Jackson-Davis

The Kings will be without Jordan McLaughlin (Grade 2 right ankle sprain), Trey Lyles (groin), Kevin Huerter (left shoulder), Orlando Robinson (left knee) and Devin Carter (left shoulder). Sacramento coach Mike Brown should start:

PG: De’Aaron Fox SG: Keon Ellis SF: DeMar DeRozan PF: Keegan Murray C: Domantas Sabonis

Editor's note: These are the predicted lineups and could change based on the availability of players.

Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings prediction

The oddsmakers slightly favor Sacramento to win this game at home. However, we expect Golden State to upset the odds for a win. As most of the starters from both teams will be under minutes restriction, the Warriors’ depth should be enough to get a win. This should be a high-scoring game with the team total going past 221 points.
