Harrison Bryce Jordan Barnes is a veteran professional basketball player who currently plays power forward for the Sacramento Kings. He was born in 1992 in Ames, Iowa and had a successful high school basketball career, winning state championships, and played college ball for the University of North Carolina. Over the course of his college basketball career, he became a McDonald's All-American, and was also titled Mr Basketball USA in 2010.

Barnes was drafted 7th overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors after two seasons at North Carolina. With the Warriors, Barnes made meaningful contributions as a versatile scorer and defender. He helped lead the team to their first championship in 40 years during the 2014-2015 season. His exceptional rookie season performance also earned him a spot on the All-NBA Rookie First Team

After four seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Barnes signed with the Dallas Mavericks in 2016. He started nearly every game with Dallas and averaged over 19 points per game in his first season there. In the 2017-18 season he showed exceptional play with eight double-doubles. He averaged 18.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in the regular season. His strong play also earned him a spot on the 2017 USA Basketball AmeriCup Team that won a gold medal

In 2019, Barnes was traded to the Sacramento Kings where he continues to demonstrate exceptional skill and leadership. In the 2022-2023 season, Barnes averaged an impressive 15 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Now in his 12th NBA season at age 31, Barnes boasts career averages of 14.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. His experience and versatility on offence and defence make him a tremendously valuable player. Also in the season 2023-24, Barnes has already played in 13 games and he is averaging 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. The Kings have already won their 8 matches, and they are among the top contenders to reach the playoffs again this season.
