Harrison Barnes is a 6 ‘8’’ Forward who plays for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA. After getting drafted 7th overall out of North Carolina in the 2012 NBA Draft, he began his NBA journey with the Golden State Warriors. In his initial four-year stint with Warriors, Barnes was not able to showcase his full potential as he was alongside the ‘Splash brothers’ Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. However, he was a regular starter and helped the team to win an NBA Championship in 2015.
Following a successful tenure under Steve Kerr, Barnes was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks where he demonstrated his most productive years. He averaged a career-high 18.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in the 2017/18 season with the Mavs.
After getting traded from the Mavericks in 2018, Barnes spent five seasons with the Sacramento Kings, where he currently plays. Throughout this time, he has displayed a solid offensive game, posting impressive numbers on the board that also includes shooting from the outside.
After a 16-year playoff drought, the Kings reached the playoffs after a hard-fought regular season. While most of the credit was given to the teams’ starter Domantas Sabonis and point guard DeAaron Fox, Barnes also played his part, helping the team to finish with a 48-34 record, averaging 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game on 47.3% shooting including 37.4% from the three-point line in a career-high 82 games. Then, as the Forward turned 27, he got traded to the Sacramento Kings.
