Third-year forward Anthony Lamb made one of the Golden State Warriors’ final roster spots in the preseason after being signed to a two-way contract.

This allows Lamb to play for both Golden State and their NBA G League affiliate team, the Santa Cruz Warriors. His signing came after he previously made a name for himself in the G League, most notably with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

On that note, here is how Anthony Lamb has fared throughout his time in the G League.

Lamb went undrafted out of Vermont in the 2020 NBA Draft. He later signed with the then-Canton Charge of the NBA G League after being selected No. 6 in the 2020-2021 G League Draft.

In six games for the Charge, Lamb averaged just 4.2 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists on 37.5% shooting, while playing only 9.6 minutes per game.

On Feb. 25, 2021, he was traded to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers where he played the remainder of the 2020-2021 G League season. This is where Lamb took the next step as an NBA prospect.

He averaged 18.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game on 56.0% shooting over six games with the Vipers. The forward did so in 33.8 minutes per game.

This performance earned Lamb the G League's Most Improved Player award at the end of the season.

Anthony Lamb’s impressive G League play also led him to receive a two-way contract from the Houston Rockets on Mar. 8, 2021. Lamb played in 24 games for Houston in the 2020-2021 NBA season.

However, he was waived by the Rockets before the start of the 2021-2022 NBA season. So, Lamb made his return to the Vipers for the 2021-2022 G League season.

In his second season for the Vipers, Lamb still dominated the G League. He averaged 17.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.3 blocks on 46.6% shooting in 34.4 minutes per game over 31 games.

His impressive G League play led him to receive a 10-day contract from the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 6, 2022. Lamb played in just two games for the Spurs in the 2021-2022 NBA season before returning to the Vipers.

He later won the 2021-2022 G League title with Rio Grande after defeating the Delaware Blue Coats 2-0 in the finals.

On Mar. 23, 2022, Lamb was called up by the Houston Rockets again and signed another two-way contract. However, he didn’t play a single game for them that season. All of these opportunities culminated in Lamb trying out for the Golden State Warriors this past preseason, where he earned his latest NBA opportunity.
