Playing in his 3rd season with the team, Jalen kept his scoring and rebounding stats intact but became more effective from the field. He made it to the third-team All-Big 12 but more importantly, won the NCAA championship in 2022. Following the season Wilson declared for the 2022 NBA draft but withdrew from the draft to complete his education.

Playing his last season with the team, Wilson led the team to the top of the Big-12 group with a 28-8 overall record. Kansas lost to No.8 seed Arkansas by 71-72 in a closely fought contest.
