Jayson Tatum is honored to be the cover athlete for NBA 2K25

Jayson Tatum had arguably the best season of his career in 2023-24, earning his fifth All-Star nod, making the All-NBA First Team for the third straight year, and winning his first NBA title. The Boston Celtics star is also set to represent Team USA at the Paris Olympics, joining LeBron James and company in defending their gold medal. Now, he can add being chosen as an NBA 2K cover athlete to his list of accolades.

In a statement he recently made, the Celtics star said that even after winning the NBA title, being the cover athlete for NBA 2K25 is humbling for him.

"It's an honor to be named a cover athlete for NBA 2K25," Tatum said in a release. "I've been playing NBA 2K since I was a kid, and it's been a dream to one day be on the cover. Even after coming off an NBA Championship, it's humbling to see this come to life."

What is even more humbling for Tatum is the fact that it was his idol Kobe Bryant who graced the cover of NBA 2K24. Tatum is also set to wear Bryant's Team USA jersey number at the Paris Olympics.
