Julian Strawther’s Height

Julian Strawther is listed at 6 feet 7 inches. Given that Julian dropped 50 in one of his high school games, let’s look at how Julian uses his height to his advantage:

First and foremost, this height gives Julian a substantial size and reach advantage. It enables him to look above defenders and have an unobstructed perspective of the court, which facilitates passing and playmaking.

Julian uses his speed, agility, and athleticism, to do both, score and play defense. He can drive to the hoop, finish at the rim, and attract fouls because of his stature. Strawther can even shoot from outside the arc, posing a threat from outside the arc.

Defensively, Strawther’s height and quickness allow him to efficiently guard several positions. He can challenge shots, impede passing lanes, and help with rebounds. Because of his flexibility, he can defend against both smaller guards and larger forwards, making him a great player on the floor.

Furthermore, Julian may take advantage of his size advantage to create mismatches against opponents. He may post up smaller defenders and shoot over them or locate open teammates if double-teamed. Strawther can, on the other hand, use his speed to go past larger opponents.
