The Indiana Pacers vs Boston Celtics on Sunday, Dec. 29 was the third and final regular-season matchup between these teams. Coming off a 142-105 win by the Celtics on Friday, the 2024 Eastern Conference finalists clashed again at TD Garden with the defending champions trying to win the head-to-head after tying the series in their prior game.

Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam led the way for the Pacers while Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown tried to take the Celtics to the promised land.

The visitors took the 123-114 win to get revenge after Friday's game and win the regular-season series in a convincing manner.

The Indiana Pacers vs Boston Celtics game started with both teams trying to separate from each other on the scoreboard, but they always remained close to one another. The Celtics won the first quarter 29-27 behind Jaylen Browns' 12 points. Tyrese Haliburton and Andrew Nembhard scored six points apiece.

The second quarter started the same way, but the rest of the period was different. The Pacers took off and entered halftime up 65-58. Nembhard and Haliburton continued their good moment by finishing with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Jarace Walker contributed 12 points from off the bench too.

On the other side, Jaylen Brown added six more points while Payton Pritchard finished the first half with 19 units.

The third quarter was more competitive, even though the Pacers took a 72-61 at 9:46. The Celtics put on a fight and tried to stay close to Indiana. Both teams scored 33 points in the third period, which meant the Pacers held on to the seven-point lead and entered the final period up 98-91. The final quarter was the hardest fought, as they focused on defense and canceling each other on offense.

The Pacers added two more points to their advantage, taking the final quarter 25-23 and securing the 123-114 victory.

Tyrese Haliburton showed the way with 31 points, followed by Andrew Nembhard's 17 units. Pascal Siakam, Myles Turner and Bennedict Mathurin scored 17, 13 and 14 points, respectively, to close a game in which the Pacers starters all scored in double digits.

Jaylen Brown and Payton Pritchard scored 31 and 21 points, respectively, but it wasn't enough against Indiana.
