The Indiana Pacers faced the New York Knicks on Friday night in a rematch of their second-round series in the 2024 NBA playoffs. The Pacers sent the Knicks home last season, with Tyrese Haliburton leading his team to an unlikely victory at Madison Square Garden.

The new-look Knicks were coming off a season-opening loss against the defending champions Boston Celtics, while the Pacers took care of business against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

After a hard-fought first quarter, the Knicks took off in the second quarter, dominating the Pacers for the rest of the game. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 26 and 21 points, respectively, to move past Bennedict Mathurin (20 points) and Myles Turner (13 units) in their 123-98 blowout win.
