Looking at Friday's jam-packed NBA slate, Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks is one of the standout matchups. This meeting will mark the first time these teams square off since last year's Eastern Conference semifinals.

In the second-round matchup last year, the Pacers won in seven games. Heading into the 2024-25 campaign, both of squads have their sights set on contending in the East again.

Indiana enters this game with momentum, having picked up a win on opening night against the Detroit Pistons. As for the Knicks, they'll be looking to bounce back following a loss in their first game of the season. New York went up against the Boston Celtics to tip off the year and suffered a 132-109 loss to the reigning champions.

The Pacers brought back the majority of the group that got them to the Eastern Conference finals last season. However, the Knicks look much different from when they clashed in the postseason. New York pulled up two big trades this offseason to bring in Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges.
