Isaiah Stewart II is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Detroit Pistons in the NBA. Born on May 22, 2001, in Rochester, New York, Stewart plays as center and power forward for the Pistons. He is known for his versatility and defensive skills.

Isaiah Stewart went to the McQuaid Jesuit High School, Rochester. His early years at the high-school laid a foundation for his basketball career. He was later transferred to La Lumiere School in Indiana. Stewart earned the spot of five-star recruit in high-school and was one of the top five players in the 2019 class.

In the 2020 NBA Draft, Isaiah Stewart was drafted with the 16th overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers. He was later traded to the Houston Rockets, and then to the Detroit Pistons in exchange of Christian Wood. In July 2023, Stewart agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Pistons worth $64 million.

In the 2022/23 NBA season, Stewart appeared in 50 games and averaged 11.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He shot 44.2% from the field, including 32.7% from deep.

Isaiah Stewart College

Isaiah Stewart attended the University of Washington for one season. He selected Washington because of his relationship with coach Mike Hopkins.

Stewart recognized that Washington will give him better chances to develop as a player. He was confident that the university's basketball program would help him polish his skills and prepare him for a professional career in the NBA.

As a freshman at the University of Washington, Stewart quickly proved his worth. In one season in college, Stewart averaged 17.0 points, 8.8 rebounds per game and 2.1 blocks per game. He was named to the First-Team All-Pac-12 and won the Mr. Basketball USA in 2019.

This standout season was all Stewart needed to know he was ready for the next level. Confident in his abilities and with accolades to back him up, he declared for the 2020 NBA Draft after just one sensational freshman season at Washington.
