The 6-foot 7 small forward, Jalen Bridges played collegiate ball for West Virginia and Baylor University. Born in Fairmont, West Virginia, Bridges played high school basketball for Fairmont Senior High School and led them to multiple class AA state titles.

As a four-star recruit, Bridges committed to play college basketball for West Virginia until the end of his sophomore year. In his freshman year, Bridges averaged 5.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, shooting 40.9% from deep and earning a place on the Big 12 All-Freshman First Team.

In his sophomore year, Bridges grew more into his role starting and playing all 33 games, averaging 8.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 steal per game. In both his years at West Virginia, Bridges had the highest offensive rating with 131.2 in his freshman year and 120.4 in his sophomore year per 100 possessions. Displaying consistent efficiency, adaptability and a strong offensive game.

After his sophomore year, Bridges entered the transfer portal and joined Baylor University. After his move to the green and gold, Bridges saw a rise in his usage and improved his efficiency. During his time at Baylor, Bridges averaged 11.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 41.2% from the three-point line on 5.1 attempts per game in his senior year. He also led the team in offensive rating over both seasons with 128.0 in his junior year and 132.5 in his senior year, which was also first in the Big 12 conference. This earned him a place on the All-Big 12 Third Team in his senior year. After the end of college career, Bridges opted out of his covid year and declared for the 2024 NBA Draft.
