Jalen Suggs currently plays for the Orlando Magic and has not been the player everyone expects him to be. While granted that he is only 22 years of age, he has been a decent player at best. Before he joined the NBA, the hype surrounding him and his talent was huge.

To start with, Suggs had a lot of success playing for the Gonzaga Bulldogs where he averaged 14.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists on 50.3 percent shooting from the field and 33.7 percent from the three-point line. The Bulldogs, with Suggs in their team, were practically unstoppable because they went 31-1 almost having a perfect season. Since he had a lot of success in college, everybody expected those results in the NBA too.

Suggs is an all-round player who can do a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball. He can play defense, shoot threes, drive down the lane, handle the ball, and drop dimes for his teammates. He can also play above the rim with his elite athleticism and throw-down monster dunks.

He is a very tricky case for the Orlando Magic as he is not a great offensive threat but can play elite defense. With him on the floor, their defense is much better than when he is not but at the same time, his poor shooting makes it hard for the coach to come to a decision.

Suggs is having his best defensive year so far and is averaging 2.1 steals per game. He is also averaging 3.9 rebounds per game which is his career best. He has leaned more towards developing skills that the team needs than what he needs. He is an unselfish player and is letting other players like Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner take care of the offensive end.

Jalen Suggs Height

Suggs is listed at 6 feet 5 inches which is a typical height for a guard in the NBA. He is a natural combo guard who can play on-and-off the ball. His most impressive ability is his leadership. Sometimes, he can just will his team to victory with his Russell Westbrook-like energy and passion.

He was a football player in the past, so when it comes to the defensive side of the ball and rebounding, he is one of the most aggressive players in the league.

Jalen Suggs Wingspan

Suggs is a 6’4” combo guard with a 6 feet 6 inch wingspan. While his height is mediocre in terms of the NBA, his reflexes, athleticism, and defense are what make him shine. He is one of the fastest players in the NBA and if opponents make mistakes, he can punish them with a quick coast-to-coast move to the rim.

Suggs is only 22 years of age and is far from a finished product. There is a lot of potential in him and could very well be the 3rd option for the Orlando Magic in the near future. The Magic are currently 5th in the Eastern Conference and are looking to make the playoffs this year.
