Standing 6 ‘8’’ tall Jamahl Mosley is a head coach for the Orlando Magic and a former NBL (National Basketball League) player. Mosley had previously played for the Colorado Buffaloes representing their men's basketball team in the NCAA competition. He was a small forward for the Varsity team where he averaged 11.4 ppg and 6.7 RPG throughout his college career and earned an All-Big 12 Conference honor.

Despite having a good potential and stats of a college athlete, the player went undrafted in the 2001 draft. Later, Mosley went overseas and played there for four years. His career as a player didn’t last for long as he took an early retirement in 2005 and decided to pursue his career as a coach.

How much is Jamahl Mosley salary

In the 2021 free agency period, the former Dallas Mavericks assistant coach has agreed on a four-year deal with the Orlando Magic according to ESPN. He will be acting as a head coach for the Magic and his multi-year contract can go up to $30 million as the team has this amount of capital left in their salary cap space.

Mosley, 44, started his career as a player development coach for the Denver Nuggets at 26. After spending two years with the team, he was promoted to a position of assistant coach from 2005-10. He also worked as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2010-14 and for the last seven years Mosley has been with the Dallas Mavericks squad under head coach Rick Carlisle. All together he has practiced as an assistant coach for the last 15 years.

As Carlisle decided to step down from the position of head coach then the mavericks young gun and MVP Luka Doncic referred his viewpoint and endorsed Moshley as their new head coach for the team. Though Mavericks opted Jason Kidd as their head coach, an endorsement from such a great player means something and reflects how excellent Moshley is as a coach.

Additionally, Mosley has acquired years of experience by working under coaches like Rick Carlisle and George Karl who has been a NBA Hall-of-famer.
