Matthew Jared Rhoden is an American professional basketball player who plays in the USA Division II basketball league for the Raptors 905 as of January 4, 2025. Rhoden remained undrafted in the 2022 NBA draft but was quickly picked by the Portland Trail Blazers. He was later waived by the Blazers and joined the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League. He played 16 games with the Skyhawks, putting up 223 points and grabbing 102 rebounds. Rhoden later played for the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets of the NBA, and as of January 4, 2025, he has played 35 games, averaging 3.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game.
Rhoden attended Saviour Lutheran High School in the Bronx and played varsity basketball as a captain under head coach Peter Weyhe. As a senior, he averaged 29.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.2 steals, and 1.3 assists per game and was named first-team All-USA Today New York Boys Basketball. Rhoden attended Seton Hall University after finishing high school and played for the Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team. He averaged 10.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 122 games. Rhoden finished his college career with more than 1,200 points and 600 rebounds, making him only the 12th player in Pirates history to achieve that. He was named to the All-Big East First Team in 2022.
