Jarrett Allen is a professional basketball centre who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA as of March 2025. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, Allen's basketball journey began at the University of Texas, where he played for the Longhorns. After playing for the University of Texas for a lone season, Allen was selected as the 22nd overall pick in the first round by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA Draft. After playing for the Nets for five seasons, Allen was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his first season with the Cavs, Allen was named to the NBA All-Star selection during the 2021-22 season, where averaged 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game.

A particular highlight came on January 22, 2024, when he set a franchise record for consecutive double-doubles during a victory over the Orlando Magic, surpassing the previous record shared by Andre Drummond and Elmore Smith. In the 2023-24 season, Jarett Allen along with Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland led the Cavs to another playoffs where Allen averaged his career-best 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. Unfortunately, the Cavs fell short of the Boston Celtics in the semifinals.
