Houston Jerami Grant is an NBA player from America. He was born on March 12, 1994. He last played for the Portland Trail Blazers team.

Early Life

As mentioned above, Jerami was welcomed into the world on March 12, 1994. He was born in Portland, a city in Oregon, United States. His parents, Harvey and Beverly Grant were very supportive. They always supported him to pursue his career in sports.

Jerami’s father, Harvey was also a basketball player. He was an NBA player and played there for more than a decade. So, Harvey knew everything about basketball and act as a role model for his son.

High School & College

Jerami started his education at DeMatha Catholic High School. This school is located in Hyattsville, Maryland. After completing his senior season at this school, he chose Syracuse University to play basketball at a college level. Jerami went to the college in 2012 and joined the college’s basketball team.

While playing with the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team, his averages were 12.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists during the 2013-14 season. After finishing this regular season, Jerami decided to start his professional career. Shortly after that, he entered the 2014 NBA draft. The Philadelphia 76ers selected him in the same year on June 26. He was picked in the second round and was 39th selection.

Jerami Grant began his NBA journey with the Philadelphia 76ers. This group selected him in the second round of the 2014 draft. He spent two years with this team from 2014 to 2016. During this time, he got to play in the NBA Summer League.

Later, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 1, 2016. He had a total stay of three years with this team. His name rose in the NBA during his time with this team as he participated in various NBA matches with this group. Later, Jerami went on to play for the Denver Nuggets in July 2019. He just played for a year with this team and then joined the Detroit Pistons in 2020.

While playing for the Detroit Pistons, Jerami was selected as the Most Valuable Player. He joined the team in 2020 and played till the mid of 2022. Thereafter, he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in July 2022. Since then, he is having impressive gameplay with the same team.
