Jeremy Juliusz Sochan was drafted by the San Antonio Drafts with the 9th overall pick in the NBA draft of 2022. He is one of the talented newcomers to the league who is getting recognized for his defensive abilities. His skills inducted him into the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2023.

Throughout his rookie 2022/23 season, Sochan played 56 games with the Spurs and averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He shot 45.3% from the field, including 24.6% from the three-point range. He is notable for his career-high 30 points in a game during the season.

Sochan will be interested in leading the Spurs to a deep postseason run in the 2023/24 season. The newcomer also won a gold medal for Team Poland at the 2019 FIBA U16 European Championship Division B in Podgorica.

He plays for Team Poland as a tribute to his maternal roots.

Sochan won a gold medal for Team Poland at the 2019 FIBA U16 European Championship Division B in Podgorica, Montenegro. He was honored as the MVP of the tournament. He is also the youngest player to play for Team Poland.

Jeremy Sochan College Career

Sochan enrolled at the Baylor University and played collegiate basketball for the Baylor Bears. Throughout the 2021/22 season, he averaged 9.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He shot 47.4% from the field, including 29.5% from deep.

After the season ended, he was honored with the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year Award and as well as he was included in the Big 12 All-Freshman Team in 2022. Following this, he joined the 2022 NBA draft where he was eventually drafted by the San Antonio Spurs.
