Josh Green is a 23-year old Australian professional basketball player who plays shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. His journey from local Australian courts to the NBA arenas is a testament to his hard work and determination. Born on 16 November 2000, in Sydney, New South Wales, Green comes to an athletic family. His father and mother are former semi- professional basketball players who played in Australian leagues. His mother, Cahla, started coaching him at the age of five. Josh Green also was the captain of NSW under-12 basketball team and led them to win the title. He was also a very good Australian Rules Football player in his youth, and played for local clubs as well.

In 2013, Green joined the Penrith basketball club, where he started honing his skills and started improving with every match. His exceptional performance earned him spot on the under-14 and under-16 New South Wales state teams as a 13-year old. These selections and state level basketball enhanced his skills and prepared him for the challenges ahead.

Green’s family then relocated to the United States, and he then joined IMG academy in Florida and became a five-star college prospect. With the IMG academy he also led the team to win the national championship, and his exceptional performance won him the league MVP award as well.

Later in 2018 Green committed to play for the Arizona Wildcats. His time with the Wildcats was marked by superb growth and development, both on and off the court. In 2020, Josh Green played for the Australian national team in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and helped the team secure the bronze medal in Men’s Basketball.
