Josh Green is an Australian professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks. Green was born on November 16, 2000, and belongs to a basketball family.

In 2013, Green joined the Penrith basketball club in Australia, where his performances got him a spot on the under-14 and under-16 New South Wales state teams. He and his family moved to Phoenix, USA, where he joined Mountain Ridge High School in 2015.

In 2017, Green was transferred to IMG Academy in Florida. Here he evolved into a five-star prospect. He led IMG to win the national championship and was named the most valuable player of the championship game. His exceptional performances didn't go unnoticed, as he was considered a top player by ESPN, 247Sports and Rivals.

In 2020, Green was drafted with the 18th overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks. He quickly adapted to the pace of the NBA, becoming an integral part of the Mavericks’ squad. In the 2022-23 NBA season, Green has averaged 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He shot 53.7% from the field, including 40.2% from deep.
