Josh Hart has been in the NBA for six seasons and basketball enthusiasts have witnessed his growth since his early days with the Los Angeles Lakers. Growing up in Springfield, Maryland, Hart was an athletic young kid who grew interested in physical, contact sports and as a result, chose Basketball as a sport of interest.

Hart initially attended Wheaton High School and played till his sophomore year where he polished his fundamental basketball skills and developed his overall game before transferring to Sidwell Friends School. At Sidwell, Hart’s growth only increased alongside his skill. He finished his High School career, averaging 20.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.1 steals with 57% shooting.

Soon after graduating High School, Hart committed to Villanova in 2013 and played all four years with the University. In his junior year back in 2016, Hart played a crucial role in Villanova winning the National Championship by beating North Carolina by the narrowest of margins of just three points. As a wildcat, Hart averaged 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 steals on 51% shooting from the field. Hart went on to get selected 30th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz and from there began his professional competitive journey.

Josh Hart Height

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches or 1.93 cm tall, Hart is a highly proficient shooting guard who makes great use of his height to play mid-range and inside the paint. Being a guard he utilizes his court vision to make precise pinpoint passes or find open teammates to sink twenty-footers for the finish.

His height, coupled with his speed and agility, allows him to be competitive when contending for rebounds and steals which highlights his competitive nature for the game.

Josh Hart Weight

Weighing approximately 215 pounds (97 kg), Hart doesn’t shy away from displaying his peak athleticism; whether it be collecting rebounds, running the full length of the court for multiple plays, scrambling for loose balls, or finding space to finish inside the paint.

Hart’s strength and fitness help him in play through contact on both ends of the court against forwards as well as centers, which only adds to his resilient playstyle. By utilizing his weight effectively without sacrificing quickness or agility, he is known to outmatch opponents under the rim.

Josh Hart Wingspan

With a wingspan measuring 6 feet 8 inches or 2.03 m, Hart’s long arms add to his defensive capabilities as can disrupt passing lanes to gain much-needed possession, contest shots while guarding opponents, defend the perimeter by stealing the ball, and get his team to score in transition, get rebounds, and even block scoring attempts on occasion.

Having a wingspan helps all players but their effectiveness can be understood based on the player type and their role on the court.
