Jrue Holiday is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics. He stands at 6 feet 4 inches and weighs about 93 Kg. He plays at the Point Guard/ Shooting Guard position and is widely regarded for his perimeter defense in the NBA. He attended and played for Campbell Hall school in Los Angeles, California, where he averaged 25.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists, along with 4.8 steals per game as a senior and was the No. 2 overall prospect of the Class of 2008, as per Rivals.com. He was subsequently selected as a McDonald’s All-American in 2008 and decided to join UCLA for college basketball.

This earned him the Pac-10 All-Freshman team honors. He then declared for the 2009 NBA Draft and was selected with the 17th overall pick in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged 13.2 points, 4.1 assists, and 6.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists per game in the 2024 post-season, and he played a crucial role as he helped the Boston Celtics team win their historic 18th NBA Championship.

He was again crucial in Game 6, scoring nearly a triple-double with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists, and he helped close out the series with a 4-2 win for Milwaukee.

Boston Celtics (2023-24)

Holiday won his second NBA Championship in 2024 with the Boston Celtics alongside NBA Stars Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown, along with a solid cast of supporting players. In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Holiday recorded 26 points and 11 rebounds to ensure a victory for his team. The Celtics closed out the series in 5 games and earned Holiday his second ring.
