He attended Prestonwood Christian Academy. He was considered a five-star recruit by Rivals.com. Randle was listed as the No. 1 power forward and No. 2 player in the nation in 2013. He won McDonald’s All-American in his senior year of high school.

Randle was drafted as the 7th overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2014 NBA draft. As of October 2024, Randle has been named a three-time NBA All-Star and was on the All-NBA Second Team in 2021.
