Kawhi Leonard is widely recognized as one of the greatest two-way players the game has ever seen. In his early seasons in the NBA, Leonard was known primarily for his defense. However, the Los Angeles native has worked hard at his game throughout the years and has developed elite scoring abilities to become a truly impactful player on both ends of the court.

Leonard is a proven winner, something evident from his two rings as well as two Finals MVPs. Even so, the one thing hindering his progress has been his health of late. In fact, since 2017, Leonard has seen his fair share of injury problems and especially in the playoffs which has stopped him from going for yet another ring.

That said, at 32 years of age, the ‘Klaw’ still has enough time to lead his team to glory provided he can remain injury free. He is still playing at the peak of his ability when on court, and if he can keep the momentum going then there is no telling what Kawhi can manage to do.

Kawhi Leonard Number Of Games With The Clippers

Kawhi Leonard has been with the Clippers organization since the start of the 2019-20 NBA season. Since then, he has played a total of 161 regular season games with the franchise in four years. It is important to note that he missed out entirely on the 2021-2022 season as he was recovering from his partial tear the ACL in his right knee.

In the three years he has played for the Clippers, he has also featured in 26 playoff games. Again, injury troubles forced him to miss many postseason games and as a result, the Clippers were not so successful without him on the floor.

As for the regular season, Leonard has managed to play in 57, 52, and 52 games respectively in the three seasons he played with the team. Going forward, the Clippers would hope that Leonard’s injury woes reduce drastically and especially in the postseason in order to make another deep playoff run.

Kawhi Leonard NBA Career

Prior to joining the Clippers, Leonard spent the first seven seasons of his career with the San Antonio Spurs. Drafted by the Indiana Pacers with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft, the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year was immediately traded to the Spurs. He would go on to play 407 games for his first franchise and claim one NBA championship with them in 2014.

Leonard, then, made a move to the Toronto Raptors where he spent the 2018-19 season. In his lone year in Toronto, Leonard played in 60 games and led the Raptors to their first ever NBA championship.
