Keegan Murray is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA. His basketball journey began at Prairie High School in Cera Rapids, Iowa, where he averaged 20.3 points and 7.2 rebounds as a senior. As a three-star recruit, Murray committed to University of Iowa, where he played for two seasons.
In the 2022 NBA Draft, Murray was selected fourth overall by the Sacramento Kings. He immediately showcased to the team that he deserved a spot on the 15-man roster by winning the summer league MVP. On his NBA debut, Murray put up 19 points, five rebounds, and two blocks.
Murray has been instrumental in the Kings' surge back to relevance. He showed out in the playoffs as well, having some great shooting games and pushing defending champions the Golden State Warriors to seven games in the first round in 2023.

Kris Murray was picked 23rd overall by the Portland Trail Blazers. He has been going back and forth from playing on the 15-man roster and in the G League. There is hope that Murray can blossom into an integral piece for the Trail Blazers in the coming seasons.
