Keita Bates-Diop is a professional basketball player who last played for the Brooklyn Nets at the Power Forward position in the NBA. Bates-Diop is 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 229 pounds, He played college basketball for Ohio State University, where he was a first-team All-Big Ten and the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2018. He was selected in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft as the 48th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves and has also played for the Denver Nuggets, and the San Antonio Spurs and is a member of the Brooklyn Nets, as of December 2024.

Bates-Diop played the 2023-24 season first for the Phoenix Suns, where he played in 39 games, averaged 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, and was later traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a three-team trade involving the Memphis Grizzlies. After this followed a series of trades at the end of which the New York Knicks waived him. As of December 2024, Bates-Diop is a Free Agent who would prove a good option for any team that finds itself in early injury trouble.

He gradually improved his numbers and averaged 19.8 points, 1.6 blocks, 1.6 assists and 8.7 rebounds per game, all career numbers for him at the time, as a senior. By the time he left, he started in all 34 games that he played for the Buckeyes. He was also named the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2018 and was named as a Consensus Second-team All-American.
