Kelly Oubre Jr. is a professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers as of November 2024. After high school, Oubre Jr. decided to attend the University of Kansas in 2014, where he remained till 2015 before declaring for the NBA Draft. He averaged 9.3 points, 1.1 steals, and 5.0 rebounds per game in his lone season at Kansas. He was picked with the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks and was then traded to the Washington Wizards. In his rookie season, he averaged 3.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game and played in 63 games. He steadily increased his numbers over the years and had a career-best season in 2022-23 for the Charlotte Hornets, where he averaged 20.3 points, 1.4 steals, 1.1 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game.

February 26, 2020 – March 11, 2020 (Phoenix Suns)

On February 26, 2020, Oubre Jr. was suddenly ruled out of the starting line in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to a right knee injury. As per AZ Central, he was looking good in the morning shootaround but later was seen with a bubble wrap on his knee. He still found ways to contribute to the team as he has been described by his teammates to be the loudest guy on the bench as per AZ Central.

April 10, 2021 – April 18, 2021 (Golden State Warriors)

On April 10, 2021, in a game against the Washington Wizards, Oubre Jr. had a fall while making a dunk and had a sore wrist according to Yahoo Sports. Even though he was able to finish the game against the Wizards, he was ruled out for the next game against the Houston Rockets due to a sore wrist. He missed 5 games due to this and returned to action on April 18, 2021.

April 29, 2021 – May 16, 2021 (Golden State Warriors)

Following his short leave in early April due to his wrist problems, Oubre Jr. again had problems with his wrists. As per the NBA's official website, he reaggravated his previous sore wrist and had a small avulsion fracture and ligament tear in his left wrist. Due to this injury, he was unable to play for the rest of the 2020-21 NBA season.

December 31, 2022 – February 16, 2023 (Charlotte Hornets)

On December 31, 2022, Oubre Jr. reaggravated his wrist injury and was reported with a sprained left hand according to Fox Sports. He underwent surgery on January 5, 2023, and was eased back into training by limiting movement on his left hand. He returned to action later after missing 24 games as per Basketball Reference.

March 24, 2023 – April 09, 2023 (Charlotte Hornets)

On March 24, 2023, Oubre Jr. was ruled out with a right shoulder strain. He missed the rest of the season as per Basketball Reference.

November 12, 2023 – December 05, 2023 (Philadelphia 76ers)

This injury was a serious one for Oubre Jr., and surprisingly this happened off the court. On December 31, 2022, Oubre Jr. was struck by a vehicle in Philadelphia as per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. As a result, he suffered fractured ribs and also had multiple cuts and bruises on his body. He also had some injuries to his hip and right leg. After this, he was immediately taken to the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and subsequently missed 11 games. He later made his return on December 16, 2023, as per Basketball Reference.
