Kentavious Tannell Caldwell-Pope, popularly known as “KCP,” was drafted by the Detroit Pistons with the eighth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. The veteran shooting guard has won the NBA championship twice so far in his career.

Over 76 games with the Nuggets in the 2022/23 season, KCP averaged 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 46.2% from the field, including 42.3% from deep. He helped the Nuggets win their first ever championship in 2023. KCP is regarded by many as one of the best 3-and-D players in the league.

Along with 2023 Finals MVP Nikola Jokic, KCP will be gunning for another deep postseason run in 2024.

KCP made his NBA debut with the Pistons in the 2013/14 season. Throughout four seasons with the team he competed in 314 games. He averaged 11.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He shot 40.5% from the field, including 33.4% from deep. He was released by the team in the 2017 offseason.

Los Angeles Lakers (2017-2021)

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope joined the Lakers in the 2017/18 season. In four seasons with them, he played 314 games, averaging 11.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He shot 43.6% from the field, including 37.8% from deep. He won the NBA championship for the first time in his career with the Lakers in 2020.

During the 2021 offseason, KCP was traded to the Washington Wizards in a deal involving Russell Westbrook.

Washington Wizards (2021-2022)

KCP stayed for only one season with the Wizards. He competed in 77 games, averaging 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He shot 43.5% from the field, including 39.0% from deep. During the 2022 offseason, he was traded to the Nuggets in return for Will Barton and Monte Morris.
