The 14-time All-Star, Kevin Durant is considered one of the greatest scorers of the basketball game. He has four scoring titles to his name and has scored over 28,000 points in the NBA, making him the second-highest active scorer in the NBA only behind LeBron James.

Durant is currently playing for the Phoenix Suns alongside All-Star Devin Booker and would play a crucial role in Sun's path to the playoffs. As of August 8, 2024, Durant is with Team USA at the Paris Olympics and is looking to win his fourth consecutive Olympics Gold medal, becoming the only basketball player with four consecutive gold medals.

Kevin Durant has won four Olympic Gold medals, most in basketball history. Durant won four consecutive Gold medals at the Olympics, the first one in 2012 London, the second in 2016 Rio de Janeiro, the third at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and the unprecedented fourth one in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

One of the most prolific scorers at the international level, Durant broke the record for the most points scored in Olympic basketball irrespective of gender. He broke Lisa Leslie's scoring record and is also the leading rebounder for Team USA's men's basketball team at the Olympics.

2012 London Olympics

Kevin Durant made his Olympics Debut with Team USA at the London Olympics and secured his maiden Gold medal. He featured in eight games and played 209 minutes (9th most), averaging 19.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He made the most three-pointers (34) with great efficiency, ranking second with 52.3% from the three-point line.

In the 2012 Gold medal match against Spain, Durant put on a clinical performance recording 30 points and nine rebounds, shooting 44.0% from the field and 38.5% from the deep. He also made 9/10 free throws in the finals against Spain and led Team USA to the Gold medal.

2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympics

Kevin Durant played the most minutes (230) at the 2016 Olympics and averaged 19.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He was the second-highest scorer at the 2016 Olympics with 155 points but scored the most three-pointers (25) with astonishing efficiency, shooting 58.3% from the deep which was ranked first at the 2016 Olympics.

In the 2016 Gold medal match against Serbia, Durant repeated the 2012 Olympic Finals performance. He recorded 30 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the game against Serbia. He shot 52.6% from the field and 45.5% from the three-point line on 11 attempts and won his second consecutive gold medal.

2020 Tokyo Olympics

Kevin Durant put on a three-way performance at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He ranked third in points (124), seventh in rebounds (32), ninth in assists (22), and first in blocks (seven). After facing his first loss in his Olympic career against France in the first group-stage game, Durant put on three straight clinical performances in the knockout stage. He recorded 29 points, two rebounds, and four assists against Spain in the quarter-finals and recorded 23 points, nine rebounds, and two assists against Australia in the semi-finals.

In the 2020 Gold medal match against arch-rivals France, Durant took revenge for his only loss at the Olympics in the group stage. He recorded 29 points, six rebounds, and three assists, shooting 50% from the field. He scored 8/9 free throws and won his third consecutive gold medal.

2024 Paris Olympics

In 2024, Kevin Durant made history with his fourth Olympic appearance for Team USA in the Paris Games. On August 4, 2024, Durant became the United States' all-time rebounding leader in Olympic history, surpassing Carmelo Anthony during a win over Puerto Rico. Just days later, on August 7, he broke another record by becoming the all-time Olympic scoring leader for the U.S., surpassing Lisa Leslie’s mark, in a quarterfinal victory over Brazil. Team USA went on to win the gold medal in a rematch against France, marking Durant's unprecedented fourth Olympic gold. He became the first and only men’s basketball player to win four Olympic gold medals.

Kevin Durant FIBA World Cup

Kevin Durant made his debut for Team USA in a competitive tournament at the 2010 FIBA World Cup. He was second in total points scored (205) and second in three-pointers made (26). In the 2010 FIBA World Cup Final against Turkey, Durant recorded 28 points and led the USA in scoring and also grabbed five rebounds in his first FIBA World Cup victory.
