Kenyon Lee "KJ" Martin Jr. is an American professional basketball player who plays small/power forward for the Philadelphia 76ers, as of 2024. Martin Jr. initially attended Oaks Christian High School but did not play basketball in his freshman year. He later joined Chaminade College Preparatory in Los Angeles, California, during his sophomore season. Martin Jr. went to Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California, where he averaged 16.7 points and 9.8 rebounds consecutively in the California Open Division Champion. Martin Jr. originally committed to Vanderbilt University and joined the Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team, but then he joined the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for a postgraduate year. He scored 37 points in the National Prep Showcase in 2019.
Martin Jr. was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 52nd overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft. He was later traded to the Houston Rockets on November 25, 2020. According to Spotrac, on November 30, 2020, he signed a four-year contract worth $6.13 million with Houston. He also joined the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the NBA G League.
