Washington, Dec 20: Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant will rest for about six weeks to heal an injured left knee, the National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise said Thursday.

An MRI showed Bryant had fractured his knee, Xinhua quoted the team as saying.
Bryant had only returned to the court Dec 8 after nearly eight months away because of a torn Achilles tendon.
