Kyle Anderson is an American-Chinese professional basketball power forward/small forward. He is currently signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Nicknamed "Slow Mo," Anderson was born on September 20, 1993, in New York, U.S. He first played the game at the age of three when his parents enrolled him at a basketball camp. He attended Fairview High School, where he played on Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) teams. Anderson then switched schools to Paterson Catholic High School.

In high school, Anderson compiled a 119–6 record over four years. He was named the Star-Ledger State Boys Basketball Player of the Year. He also received national recognition as a Parade All-American, and McDonald's All-American, and he was invited to play in the Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit.

For college, Anderson committed to playing for the UCLA Bruins, where he was an All-American in his sophomore season. He was subsequently selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2014 NBA Draft with the 30th overall pick.

In his 10 seasons in the NBA, Anderson spent four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, before moving to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2018 after becoming a restricted free agent. He signed a four-year deal with the Grizzlies worth $37.2 million. After four seasons with them too, he moved to the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2022.

Anderson averaged 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game in his first season in Minnesota.

Anderson is currently one of the tallest players on the Timberwolves roster alongside Rudy Gobert. He is an impactful defender with a great range of passing.
