Kyrie Irving exploded for a then career-high 55 points to beat the Blazers, 109-104. Irving went for 17-36 from the field and a field-goal percentage of 47.2. He was red-hot from beyond the arc and went for 11-19 from the distance with a 3-point field-goal percentage of 57.9. He went to the free-throw line 10 times and made all 10 of those.

Cavaliers legend LeBron James sat out for this game due to a wrist injury but that did not stop the Cavs from getting the win as Kyrie put the team on his back. For Blazers, LaMarcus Aldrige shone with 38 points on a 13-23 shooting but did not have enough fire-power to get the win.

This was Kyrie's first 50-point game of his career. With the win that night, the Cavs extended their winning streak to 8-games.
