Two of the NBA's biggest heavyweights collide as the Golden State Warriors (22-22) host the LA Lakers (24-18) on Saturday at Chase Center. This rivalry features a marquee matchup between Stephen Curry and LeBron James.
JJ Redick has gotten the better of this rivalry since arriving on the purple and gold, with a 115-113 win on Christmas Day, and will be hoping for a similar outcome this time as well.

LA Lakers vs Golden State Warriors preview
The Warriors’ season has been a mixed bag so far. Steve Kerr’s team impressed early on, but their form has dipped alarmingly, leaving them in 11th place in the Western Conference with a 22-22 record.
They are 6-6 in January, often dabbing between wins and losses, which underscore the inconsistency that has plagued the Dubs. They enter the game on the back of a 131-106 win against the Chicago Bulls, but the larger picture of making it to the playoffs seems unattainable given the way they're playing at the moment.
On the other hand, the Lakers are desperate to keep hold of the fifth spot in the rugged West and are relatively in fine form now. They are 6-5 in January and got two games rescheduled next month due to the wildfires.
They come into town riding a two-game win streak. But perfection is paramount to hunt down even a struggling Warriors at their home.
