The LA Lakers and Sacramento Kings lock horns for the second time in two days on Saturday. The Lakers will have a chance to close the season series with a 3-0 win, while the Kings can keep it alive with a win at home. The Lakers convincingly won Thursday's contest 113-100 behind a collective effort.
Austin Reaves led the scoring with 25 points. He also had six rebounds, five assists and two steals, shooting 50.0%, including three 3s. Anthony Davis bagged 21 points, 19 rebounds, four assists, three steals and six blocks, compensating for his off shooting night as he went 7 of 20.
The major reason behind the outcome was LA's impeccable defense, which laid the foundation for it despite shooting a subpar 40.4% collectively. They did an excellent job containing the Kings' stars De'Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis and DeMar DeRozan, who finished with 26, 18 and 10 points, respectively.
The Lakers bench also outscored the Kings' second unit, winning a crucial battle. A 53-43 rebounding advantage, including 14 offensive rebounds also played a significant role in the grand scheme of things.
