#2 Cleveland Cavaliers, 2016-17 – 13 triple-doubles
In the 2016-17 season, LeBron James came off a championship season and was determined to repeat. The Cavaliers finished 2nd in the Eastern Conference with a 51-31 record, with LeBron leading the team in scoring. Throughout the season he averaged 26.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists. James recorded 13 triple-doubles in the regular season, his best being a 41 point outing with 14 rebounds and 11 assists against the Indiana Pacers. in which the Lakers pulled off a double over-time.

LeBron James had another monster performance against the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. In Game 3, LeBron logged 41 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists, giving the Cavaliers a 3-0 advantage. After sweeping the Indiana Pacers, the Cavaliers swept the Toronto Raptors as well. They then wrapped up the series with Boston in five games. However, in the 2017 NBA Finals they faced the Golden State Warriors, who had an upgraded roster with Kevin Durant. LeBron James averaged a triple-double with 33.6 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in the series, but ended up losing in five games.

#1 Cleveland Cavaliers, 2017-18 – 18 triple-doubles
In the 2017-18 season, LeBron James played 82 regular-season games for the first time in his career. He was strong, healthy and played with a chip on his shoulder. Throughout the season, LeBron James averaged 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 9.1 assists. With Kyrie Irving deciding to leave the Cavaliers and join the Celtics, LeBron James embraced the playmaking duties. He had 33 games with double-digit assists and recorded a career-high 19 assists against the Atlanta Hawks.
Throughout the season, LeBron James recorded 18 triple-doubles; his career-best in a single season. Despite multiple roster changes, James took the Cavaliers to a 50-32 record and secured a spot in the playoffs. The Cavaliers needed seven games in the first round to beat the Indiana Pacers, but swept the Toronto Raptors in the following round. The Boston Celtics put on a fight in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but could not close out the game. Surprisingly, LeBron James and the Cavaliers could not register even one win against the Golden State Warriors in the 2018 NBA Finals, signaling the end of his second stint in Cleveland.
