After another dismal season, the Phoenix Suns look set to land another lottery pick in the upcoming draft. Drafting a new guard is possible, although Ja Morant looks to be the only top-level prospect, and if Phoenix misses out on the Murray State guard, they will need to hit the trade market.

The team currently has plenty of young talent among the roster, even if the point guard position has continued to be an issue, and the team is also keen to take pressure off Devin Booker by adding a natural playmaker.

Lonzo Ball would fit in with the team's emphasis on youth, and the Suns are believed to have previously explored signing the 21-year-old back in February. Phoenix will finish the 18/19 season with the second worst-record, however, the young trio of Ball, Booker, and DeAndre Ayton should be enough to make the team a future contender.
