He participated in the Nike Hoop Summit All-Star game and Adidas Nations in 2017. Dort also won team MVP at the BioSteel All-Canadian Basketball Game with 30 points. Dort enrolled in Mono, Ontario's Athlete Institute, a prep school, as a senior. At the BioSteel All-Canadian Game in April 2018, he regained his MVP title with 34 points and 8 rebounds.
