His success in the NBA comes from his European basketball experience. Luka was going up against much older and experienced players when he was just 16 years old. He played for Real Madrid and was one of the most accomplished players in the European league already.

Under the FIBA rules, a player can stay inside the paint as long as he wants to, and it also allows a lot more physical contact than the NBA. This makes NBA defenses a lot easier to score on and Luka takes full advantage of it.
