Luka Garza is a center who plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played four seasons at University of Iowa from 2017 to 2021 and he won the Big Ten Player of the Year award two times during his college career. After averaging 18.2 points and 7.3 rebounds for the Iowa Hawkeyes, he was selected 52nd overall by the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft.

Garza signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves as a free agent in 2022. He played for the Timberwolves' NBA G League affiliate team Iowa Wolves from 2022 to 2024 and won the NBA G League Next Up Game twice in 2023 and 2024. He won the NBA G League Next Up Game Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2023. He averaged 3.5 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in 39 games for the Timberwolves in the 2024-25 regular season, as per the official NBA website.
