Lithuanian-American professional basketball player, Matas Arvidas Buzelis, last played for the NBA G League Ignite of the NBA G League. Both of his parents played basketball professionally in Lithuania before immigrating to the United States and settling in the Chicago area, where Buzelis grew up.

Buzelis initially attended Hinsdale Central High School, then Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and lastly he went to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas. Here, he averaged 15.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in his senior year. He was rated as a five-star athlete by all the leading scouting agencies.

In the 2023–2024 season, Buzelis played for the G League Ignite, averaging 14.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, and 1.9 assists in 32 minutes across 26 appearances. After one season with Ignite, he declared for the 2024 NBA Draft, where he is currently awaiting to be selected in the lottery spots. Buzelis is considered a great prospect with strong fundamentals but he is raw.
