Matisse Vincent Thybulle is both an Australian and American basketball player. A Guard-Forward, he is a member of the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA. In the past, he had a career with the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA.

Born on March 4, 1997, in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States, Matisse Thybulle’s family relocated to Australia first and later again returned to the United States. He came to the NBA on October 23, 2019, with the Philadelphia 76ers. He was given the Larry Driesell Award and was also named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2019. He has been a 2-times member of the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2021 and 2022.

Matisse Thybulle has been chosen to represent Team Australia in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Matisse Thybulle is a player for Team Australia. When he was asked whether he would like to compete with Team Australia in the 2020 Olympics, he said he was interested in it. Thybulle said that he was proud of being an Australian and he would love to represent the Australian side in the Olympics. That being said, he wasn’t sure whether he would be selected by the Australian Boomers at the time.

Matisse Thybulle was eventually selected to be a part of Team Australia in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. His efforts led to team Australia winning against team Slovenia in basketball at the Olympics, thereby gaining a bronze medal in the process. It was also Team Australia's first Olympic medal.

Now, Matisse Thybulle is once again back to playing for the Australian Boomers in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The Philadelphia 76ers took on the Toronto Raptors. Matisse Thybulle was a part of the 76ers back then. He scored 20 points, his career highest in the NBA so far. Resultantly, the 76ers beat the Raptors with a score of 110-104 in the game.

March 14, 2023

The Portland Trail Blazers found their opponents in the New York Knicks in the game. Matisse Thybulle, now playing for the Trail Blazers scored 15 points, the second highest in his NBA career so far. Despite this, the Trail Blazers lost the game to the Knicks with a score of 107-123.

February 13, 2013
