Max Christie is a 6 ‘6’’ Swingman who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA. The second-year guard is a second-round pick from the 2022 NBA Draft, out of Michigan State. He signed a two-year deal with the LA Lakers worth $2.7 million in total.

After a promising performance in the NBA summer league, where he worked on his shooting and quality defense, Christie earned himself good minutes and a consistent role in Darvin Ham’s Lakers rotation. Coming into his second year in the league, he’s an ideal backup for the starter shooting guard Austin Reaves.

Christie is a versatile guard who wonderfully uses his body and beats the guys off his handle. Additionally, he can also make mid-range jump shots and shoot the ball from deep. If he continuously works on his game, he might become a perfect rotational player just as Austin Reaves became a year earlier.
