The 6 feet 5 inches forward played his first NBA Finals with the Miami Heat in 2023. He scored an average of 5.8 points in the NBA Finals but unfortunately got defeated by the strong Denver Nuggets. After the 2022-23 offseason, Max Strus was an unrestricted free agent. It was a tough decision for the Miami Heat to retain the forward, as they are already making plans to re-sign their point guard, Gabe Vincent.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Max Strus has signed a new deal worth $63 million with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now, it will be interesting to see if he fits well into the strong Cavaliers squad or not.

Last season, Max Strus started in 33 games out of 80 and averaged 11.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists. Additionally, he also had a field goal percentage of 35% from behind the arc, second best in the team and thus emerged as a key player for the Miami Heat in the 2023 playoffs.

His contribution on both ends, helped the team to reach the 2023 NBA Finals, where they met the Western Conference champion, Denver Nuggets. In a competitive match series between the two, the Denver Nuggets won the series by 4-1.

The American forward is listed at 6 feet 5 inches or (1.96m) with a wingspan of 6 feet 7.5 inches, which helps him to take the jump shot over tall opponents and to defend his position well.

Max was tall since his childhood and greatly benefited because of his big size in his early years. Initially, Max went to Amos Alonzo Stagg school for his high school basketball career. As a senior, he averaged 19 points and 9.0 rebounds and was named to play in the All-Southwest Suburban Conference. Later on, he joined Lewis University, the same university his older brother, Marty went to. After playing two seasons with DePaul he declared for the 2019 NBA draft.
