The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks conclude their 2024 Emirates NBA Cup group play schedules on Tuesday with a West Group C clash.
Memphis (14-7) seeks to extend its six-game winning streak and achieve a .500 NBA Cup record after starting 1-2 in the competition. Meanwhile, Dallas (13-8) aims to continue its four-game winning streak and solidify its chances of advancing to the in-season tournament's knockout round.
The Mavericks are 2-1 in NBA Cup play, with a sizeable +41 point differential working in their favor. So, another win should be enough for them to progress via a wild-card spot.
The star-studded matchup between the top five-seeded Western Conference squads marks their first of four this season.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Dallas Mavericks preview
Dallas projects to have its elite guard duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving reunited on Tuesday.
Doncic returned from a five-game absence due to a sprained right wrist during Sunday's 137-131 road win over the Portland Trail Blazers. He didn't skip a beat, tallying game-highs of 36 points and 13 assists, shooting 62.5%.
As for Irving, he is no longer listed on the injury report after missing Sunday's contest due to right shoulder soreness.
Thus, the Mavericks' fourth-ranked offense (116.7 offensive rating) should get an additional boost. However, the team has also received increased backcourt and wing contributions from Quentin Grimes, Spencer Dinwiddie and Naji Marshall lately.
On the other end, Dallas ranks ninth in defensive rating (110.5), bolstered by its rim-protecting center tandem of Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II. Additionally, Marshall has been a standout perimeter defender, although he is out Tuesday with an illness, while Lively (knee) is questionable.
As for Memphis, it has one of the deepest, highest-scoring teams in the league. Headlined by stars Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr., the Grizzlies rank fifth in offensive rating (116.7) and second in scoring (121.7 points per game).
They also rank second in bench scoring (48.5 ppg). Two-way guards Scotty Pippen Jr. and Marcus Smart, along with big man Santi Aldama, star in their second unit.
Like Dallas, Memphis has a top 10 defense, sitting sixth in defensive rating (108.7). Consequently, both squads project to be legitimate challengers for the West crown.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Dallas Mavericks projected starting lineups
With the Grizzlies' highest-profile absence being rookie center Zach Edey (ankle), their starting lineup should again be as follows:
PG: Ja Morant SG: Desmond Bane SF: Jaylen Wells PF: Jaren Jackson Jr. C: Brandon Clarke
However, the Mavericks' starting unit is more unclear. With Marshall (illness) out and veteran sharpshooter Klay Thompson (foot) and Lively (knee) questionable, their starting unit could be as follows:
PG: Luka Doncic SG: Kyrie Irving SF: Klay Thompson (GTD)/Quentin Grimes PF: P.J. Washington C: Dereck Lively II (GTD)/Daniel Gafford
Editor's note: These are projected starting lineups and could change as players' availabilities are updated closer to game time.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Dallas Mavericks betting tips
Morant's points prop is 19.5. The two-time All-Star has scored 20-plus points in four of his last five outings. So, he should hit the over against a Mavericks team featuring stronger frontcourt defense than backcourt defense.
Meanwhile, Doncic's points prop is 28.5. The five-time All-Star's scoring average has decreased from a league-best 33.9 ppg last season to 28.6 ppg this season. However, he appeared revitalized on Sunday against Portland. Thus, he should ride the momentum in a high-stakes home contest and hit the over, despite the Grizzlies' strong defense.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Dallas Mavericks prediction
Memphis and Dallas are both on a roll entering Tuesday. However, the Mavericks have the homecourt advantage and more at stake in the NBA Cup standings. So, they should secure a home victory while covering the spread (-4.0).
Meanwhile, both teams have been involved in high-scoring affairs lately. Therefore, they should surpass their 237.5 over/under point total, as they did handily in their previous games.
