The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks tipoff their 2024 NBA preseason at American Airlines Center on Monday. The Grizzlies are itching to get back at the Western Conference's summit following an injury-riddled year, while the Mavericks are hoping to reclaim their throw in the division after winning the WCF last year.
Led by dynamic point guards like Ja Morant and Luka Doncic, this matchup is expected to produce fireworks throughout the regular season and potentially in the NBA playoffs.
However, that won't be the case in Monday's preseason. There are some injuries in both camps. Like all other franchises, both teams are likely to restrict minutes of their best available players and treat this as a ramp-up outing.
