The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to keep their win streak alive when they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night. Chris Finch's team have won three straight but will need to be at their best to overcome a Grizzlies team that has one of the most potent offenses in the league.

Saturday's matchup pits the No. 3 and No. 7 ranked teams in the Western Conference against each other, so it should be a fascinating encounter between two loaded rosters.

After a disappointing 2023-24 season, the Memphis Grizzlies are off to a strong start this season as they sit third in the Western Conference with a 24-14 record. Coach Taylor Jenkins has done an outstanding job over the first three months of the season and built a high flying offense capable of competing with any team.

The Grizzlies are 5-5 in their last 10 games and 9-9 in away games. They are coming off a slender 119-115 loss to the Houston Rockets and have lost three of their last four. They will look to return to winning ways in Minneapolis on Saturday before a difficult road stretch against the Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs.

Injuries have been a concern for the Grizzlies this season, as they will be without Marcus Smart, GG Jackson II, Vince Williams Jr. and Cam Spencer. The return of All-Star guard Ja Morant, who missed 17 games this season, has provided a major boost, though.

Forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is the Grizzlies leading scorer, averaging 22.6 points per game. He has also chipped in with 6.4 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.5 spg andf 1.8 bpg.

Meanwhile, it has been a rollercoaster season for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They are still adjusting to life without four-time All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, who was traded to the New York Knicks in the offseason. The Timberwolves are seventh in the West with a 20-17 record and are 10-7 at the Target Center.

Minnesota is riding with a three-game win streak, with wins over the LA Clippers, New Orleans Pelicans and the Orlando Magic over the last week. The Timberwolves will be without guard Rob Dilligham, who's out with an ankle injury.

Anthony Edwards remains the central figure for Chris FInch's offense. The 23-year-old continues to put up dazzling numbers in his fifth season in the league. The talented scorer leads the Minnesota roster in points (25.7).

After missing a handful of games with a shoulder issue, Ja Morant returned to the lineup on Thursday and led the Memphis Grizzlies in points against the Rockets. Morant is capable of putting up big numbers on any given night and will be eager to make up for lost time after missing a big chunk of the season.

In the 2022-23 season, Morant averaged 26.2 ppg. Last season, he recorded 25.1 ppg. The points total for Saturday is set at 20.5, and he should be able to go over that number.

The Minnesota Timberwolves seem to be clicking at a critical stage of the season, and four-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert has been a instrumental in their strong run. In the last three games, Gobert has led the lineup in rebounds with 18, 14, 12. His rebound total is set at 11.5, and expect the 7-foot-1 Frenchman to go over that figure.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Minnesota Timberwolves prediction

The Minnesota Timberwolves are riding high after a great run, but Saturday's contest may be where it ends. A boisterous home crowd could be a factor, but the Memphis Grizzlies have a .500 record away from home and possess one of the most effective offenses in the league, averaging 122.9 ppg.

The Grizzlies dynamic offense should be too strong for Minnesota. Expect the Grizzlies to win this closely contested game.
