#1 Malik Allen could join the Miami coaching staff

The Heat have been searching for a new assistant coach since Juwan Howard left to become head coach at the University of Michigan, and Marc Stein of the New York Times is reporting that Malik Allen could be the man to replace him:

During his playing career, Allen spent four years with the Heat. Playing as a power forward, Allen made more than 150 appearances in a Heat jersey, and he was part of the 03/04 Miami team that made it to the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The 40-year-old moved into coaching back in 2014, and he spent four seasons with the Detroit Pistons. He headed to the Minnesota Timberwolves last summer, where he has continued to impress in an assistant role.
